Paylink Solutions trio shortlisted for Women in Credit Awards!

Women in Credit Awards

Not one, or two…but three members of our team have been named as finalists at this year’s Women in Credit Awards.

The first well-deserving finalist is Emma Doyley, our Head of Information Security – and one of very few women to hold such a senior IT security position across the UK – especially in the credit industry.  She’s been shortlisted for Woman of the Year for the way she’s progressed in her career in IT through dedication, ambition, lots of hard work and inspiration from another strong family member…

Emma said: “These days I don’t really think about how male-orientated our industry is. But when I step back and think about it, I’m quite proud of what I’ve achieved. When things get tough, I think about my Great Auntie Joyce, who was a code breaker at Bletchley Park – and must have had a much harder time than I did. If I ever start to doubt working in IT security, I just think of the challenges she must have faced and get on with the next challenge.”

Senior Business Analyst, Stacey Richards, is in the running for Team Player of the Year for the fantastic way she manages and leads her two teams of developers to deliver over and above. The past 12 months have been particularly demanding and Stacey has more than stepped up to the mark.

Our CEO, Susan Rann, said: “Stacey is an integral part of the Paylink team and the way she has led her team has been fundamental to the growth and success of the company.

“Her team-working style is inspiring and despite having to adapt to new ways of working over the past year, her outstanding efforts have seen the developers deliver our software to new and existing clients in a timely and effective way. I’m very proud of what she has achieved.”

The third person, and by no means least, is Susan herself, who’s hoping to win Business Leader of the Year. Paylink Solutions has had a meteoric rise over the past 18 months, which has happened because of Susan’s visionary leadership.

As well as facing the challenges the pandemic presented, Susan used her insight and knowledge of the lending, collections and debt advice industries to manage the delivery of solutions that allow banking businesses to meet increased customer and regulatory demands.

Susan said: “Everyone in the team has worked tirelessly to not only support our growing client base, which now includes a range of major high street banks and building societies, but also develop new products and services.

“During a time of uncertainty and change for the financial services industry and its customers, we’ve quickly adapted and enhanced our software to meet evolving needs. To be recognised by the Women in Credit Awards is fantastic and a strong reflection of how hard everyone at Paylink works.

“I am thrilled Emma and Stacey have been shortlisted for their awards too – their efforts have contributed to Paylink’s growth and success – and they thoroughly deserve to win.”

The Women in Credit Awards champion the work of incredible women across the credit and financial services industry. They aim to empower, connect, support and uncover achievements among inspirational females in the profession. The ceremony is taking place on 30 September 2021 in London.
